Animation & Commercial · Case Study
Ever Fresh. Live Action Meets 3D.
How Imajineer produced a laundry soap commercial using a hybrid live-action and Blender 3D animation pipeline, without a traditional production studio.
Concept · Dish Soap
The same fight, one sink at a time.
The laundry commercial proved the audience will follow a character built out of the mess itself. This concept keeps that logic and moves it to the sink: a glossy grease creature climbing out of the drain beside a stack of plates it has no business touching.
Playing it at counter scale changes the economics. There is one creature instead of a crowd, one set instead of a battlefield, and the product stays in frame throughout, which is what a dishwashing brand needs a fifteen second cut to do.
Concept film. Not yet produced as a broadcast commercial.
Scenes From the Spot
Four cuts from the finished commercial.
The hero powers up
Live action actress on set, composited with energy effects and the floating product range.
The charge
Speed-line transition, borrowed straight from action animation, cut to keep the pace up between beats.
The clean plate
The payoff frame: sparkle and citrus effects added over the live plate to sell the result in under two seconds.
End card, full range
The product lineup, logo, and Khmer tagline resolved into a broadcast end frame.
Production Story
A monster the budget could afford.
Ever Fresh required a commercial that was both emotionally engaging and visually distinctive. The brief called for a superhero grease-monster narrative, inherently difficult to execute with live action alone, and expensive to produce entirely in CGI.
Imajineer’s solution was a hybrid pipeline: live action footage shot on set, integrated with Blender-produced 3D character animation and environmental effects in post-production.
The result is a TV-ready commercial that punches significantly above its production budget, exactly the advantage Imajineer delivers to brands that cannot justify major studio costs but will not compromise on visual quality.
