BUILD YOUR
NEXT WORLD
WITH US

Imajineer is Phnom Penh’s premier video game and interactive app development studio. We build Unreal Engine and Unity games, mobile applications, and real-time interactive experiences from Southeast Asia for global audiences.

Where We Can Help

Three phases. One partner.

From greenlight to live service, the studio plugs in wherever your production needs weight.
Phase 01, Pre-Production

Before your concept is revealed, Imajineer helps you establish the foundation. We create greenlight concept videos, assist in artistic direction, develop brand identity and key art for your game, and provide strategic guidance on positioning. We become part of your team at the ideation stage, not after it's too late to influence.

STATUS: READY

Phase 02, Reveal to Launch

We deliver marketing assets that create weight and visibility at the most important moment of your project's lifecycle. CGI trailers, in-engine cinematic sequences, developer diaries, motion design reveals, roadmap announcements. Our work ensures your launch is remembered.

STATUS: READY

Phase 03, Post-Launch & Live Service

Keeping the spotlight on a live game requires speed, adaptability, and understanding of what players respond to. Imajineer produces ongoing content quickly, adapts to live service realities, and keeps the player community engaged through high-quality visual storytelling.

We Are Imajineer Studio

Not a side project. A primary discipline.

Based in the heart of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Imajineer’s interactive studio combines deep technical knowledge with creative vision forged in architecture, real estate, and digital storytelling.

We do not build games on the side. We build them as a primary discipline, with teams that understand engine pipelines, player psychology, and the commercial realities of launching in a competitive global market.

From indies to full-scale productions, from mobile apps to Unreal Engine and Unity titles, Imajineer is the Southeast Asian studio that brings both creative ambition and execution discipline to every engagement.

Engineering depth comes from Magellan Software Development, our wholly foreign-owned software enterprise registered in Fuzhou, China since 2019 with 50M RMB in registered capital. Its scope spans internet services, big data, animation, game design, cloud platforms, AI applications, and digital infrastructure, giving the studio production capacity on both sides of the South China Sea.

205+ projects delivered since 2018 across China and Cambodia.

Now Playable · quatracommand.com

Quatra Command, rebuilt.

The studio’s first shipped title was a Doe Entertainment shareware shooter. Three decades on, we rebuilt it as 3D space combat that runs in a browser tab, with no install, no store, and no download.

Asteroids fracture down through four classes as you break them apart, alien fighters hunt you between the debris, and somewhere in the field sits a hidden base they are guarding. It is a working demonstration of the same real-time pipeline behind our client work.

Studio Legacy

Shipping games since 1989.

The game practice did not start in Phnom Penh. It started in the shareware era, under founder Samuel Doe's first studio, Doe Entertainment.
  1. 1989

    Commercial start

Samuel Doe begins developing video games commercially.

  2. 1991

    First hit, self-published

His first successful self-published title ships on shareware, the era’s proving ground for independent developers.

  3. 1990s

    Triple Threat at Walmart

Walmart asks for a three-game retail package. Doe Entertainment quickly builds two more titles and ships Triple Threat: Quatra Command, F18 No Fly Zone, and Black Rein.

  4. 1990s

    Doe Entertainment scales

Development for Mattel (Hot Wheels Crash and Smash, Cabbage Patch Kids) and for Sega Games, plus a published book on building fast Windows games.

  5. 1996

    IBM Fun & Games

Doe Entertainment develops and publishes with IBM, and the catalog is folded into IBM’s Fun & Games division. Samuel and his brothers exit the company at a $20 million valuation.

  6. Late 1990s

    Commodore, then Hasbro Interactive

Samuel founds a second game company and sells it to Commodore, then helps launch Hasbro Interactive’s division, turning house IP into mainstream titles: 16 IP games a year across 6 platforms, including Nintendo 64, Sony PlayStation, and Xbox.

  7. 1999

    Mattel Games, The Learning Company

Manages the Matchbox and Hot Wheels brands, expanding both into video games.

  8. 1999

    Dot-com Silicon Valley

Migrates to Silicon Valley and builds the first online MBA program for Duke University and the first SMS text-message service for social media.

  9. 2003

    Exit velocity

Several exits, then retirement at the top of the cycle.

  10. 2006

    Back for the platform era

Returns with a VC-funded digital media startup, an app and video subscription service delivered through kiosks and the web, exited in 2010.

  11. 2018

    Titan Star, Fuzhou

Titan Star opens in Fuzhou, the group’s first China operation, and begins delivering development and visualization projects across the mainland.

  12. 2019

    Magellan Software Development, Fuzhou

A wholly foreign-owned enterprise anchors engineering in China: internet services, big data, animation, game design, and cloud platforms, with 50M RMB registered capital.

  13. 2023

    Imajineer, Phnom Penh

The practice lands in Cambodia, folding metaverse digital twin cities, high-rise architecture, TV commercials, Unreal video game development, and brand development into one studio.
