Founder
Samuel Doe
An architect and designer of Japanese-American descent, Samuel brings the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi (侘寂), finding beauty in imperfection, to every project. His creative practice began in 1989 and has since produced designs for high-rises, modular homes, yachts, floating homes, and digital products.
Operating from Phnom Penh since 2018, Samuel built Imajineer to sit at the convergence of architecture, technology, and storytelling. The result is a firm that does not separate design from data, or vision from execution.
Alongside Wabi-Sabi, the studio designs against the Godai (五大), the five great elements of Japanese philosophy. Each discipline in the practice maps to one: structure to earth, brand to water, campaigns to fire, technology to wind, and the unbuilt idea, the render before the tower, to the void.
